Hiiro: “UNDYING”…?
Aira: What does it mean? It doesn’t sound like a word that you’d learn in English class…
Tatsumi: It basically means “immortal”.
I once suffered from an injury that sprouted rumors about my possible retirement.
Yet even with such whispers, there were many fans who didn’t give up on me.
Moreover, there were people at the hospital I was admitted into that wished me well, whether that be patients, doctors, or nurses alike.
Kazehaya Tatsumi will never perish. I want to place that sentiment into this live project.
Aira: Heh, that’s such a cool concept…♪
Hiiro: It’s certainly true that Tatsumi-senpai has been involved in more public activities than us newcomers.
I’m sure a lot of long-time fans will be happy with this “immortal” concept.
Mayoi: I, I think it’s a great concept as well.
It’s pretty much something you’d expect from Tatsumi-san… I don’t think it will disappoint anyone’s expectations and will make them happy as well.
Oh, I-I’m sorry! It’s out of line for me to assume what “something expected from Tatsumi-san” would be…!
Tatsumi: No, it’s okay. I’m glad you said that.
I was a little unsure myself. Will this project’s motive be communicated to everyone?
Mayoi: ?
Tatsumi: Actually, I want to include my personal experiences into this “UNDYING” project as well.
Hiiro: Your personal experiences…?
Tatsumi: Yes. This is probably the first time I’m telling all of you this story.
Truth be told, there was a ghost in the hospital that I was admitted into.

Aira: G-g-ghost?!?
Whooa there, stop, stop! This isn’t a horror story, is it…?!
Tatsumi: Fufu. I haven’t said anything yet. Please don’t be so scared.
Anyways, in the ward where I was hospitalized, there was a rumor of a ghost, and it quickly became a hot topic amongst the patients. People were coming up with all sorts of ideas about what it could be.
Back then, I was suffering from a heavy injury, so I had no choice but to witness the phenomenon.
Thanks to the support I received at the time, though, I had gathered enough strength to start my journey to rehabilitation.
By giving the fans such interesting yet sincere content, we can get them to talk about the story while getting our sentiment across, and thus killing two birds with one stone.
A story about death and rebirth; it’s something you’d expect from me, wouldn’t it?
Hiiro: Death and rebirth… It is a great theme.
Mayoi: By the way…what noises did the ghost make? I’m admittedly quite curious.
Aira: Uh, hello?! Why do you have to dig up more of that story for, Mayo-san?!
I’m not listening to this! I’m covering my ears…!!
Hiiro: Umu, I’m surprised Aira doesn’t like scary stories. You seemed to really enjoy “ES Halloween”, so I’d thought you’d like this type of stuff.
Aira: This and that are two completely different things! I like seeing idol Halloween costumes, they’re wonderful to look at, but that doesn’t mean I have to like actual ghosts!
Hiiro: Alright, so, how about we take the scary parts out of Tatsumi-senpai’s story and just talk about the part that isn’t scary?
Aira: No no no, I don’t need that kind of consideration! Knowing you, Hiro-kun, you’re definitely gonna start stepping on one of my landmines for sure…!
Tatsumi: Rest assured, Aira-san. It’s not that scary at all.
…while I was hospitalized, sometimes in the dead of night, I’d hear singing out of nowhere.
Aira: eUEHHH—!

Mayoi: Singing?
Tatsumi: Yes. At the hospital, you can hear children singing in the middle of the night. But when I move to find the source, there was no one to be found.
No matter how many times I tried to look, I still don’t know what it came from—even the hospital staff assisted in the search, yet the owner is still unknown—
Thus, the rumor that a ghost was singing.
However, when I was hospitalized and feeling very depressed, that singing voice saved me.
The fact that there is a spirit who could still sing even after death encouraged me.
It was a peculiar story, indeed, but it still gave me a thought that, even as I was hopeless at making a comeback as an idol back then, maybe I could still sing instead.
I want to fuse this story into a live somehow, in a way that everyone can enjoy it…
I have no experience in narrative-based performances, though, so I’m still thinking on how to do this concretely.
Mayoi: Well, it’s definitely something you don’t see too often.
But, I think it’s fine as long as Tatsumi-san plans it the way he wants it to. I’m just here along with the ride…
Hiiro: We’re ALKALOID; we cannot be without the other. I’ll go along with Tatsumi-senpai’s will and do the best that I can.
Aira: Th-there was no need to talk about anything that scary…. Ugh, I’m already feeling so chilly…!
Tatsumi: Ah… then, I think it would be best for us to shelve this episode, after all.
Aira: No, none of that. Of course I’ll support you as well.
I’m not good at being spooked, but Tattsun-senpai was the one who encouraged me when I was planning my live…
Besides, if this “episode” was what saved Tattsun-senpai, then of course I want to participate, too. I want to do it right by you as well.
B-but please keep the scariness to a minimum!
How do I say this…Tattsun-senpai’s charm is the kindness that he embraces everyone with. If it’s too scary, I don’t think the image would match.
Tatsumi: Of course. I consider Aira-san as one of my fans, so I’ll refrain from using such things too excessively.
If there’s any problems, please feel free to let me know.
…as soon as the proposal for “UNDYING” is completed, I’ll explain the details.
I’ll pay close attention to the themes used so that everyone can enjoy it.
Aira: Thank you for that. I’m also looking forward to Tattsun-senpai’s project as w—
—achoo!
Mayoi: A-Are you alright, Aira-san? You look pretty pale…
Aira: Yeah! I’m totally fine, just got goosebumps outta nowhe—
—achoo, achoo!
Tatsumi: Oh?
