Rinne: I had to give the man a chili dog for him to agree, but we managed to get the task done.
Oh. A message just appeared on the tablet… “GET Your Reward!” Now, I wonder what on earth will you give us this time…?
Whoa, three hundred dollars worth of points? Looks like it’ll be about the same amount as Niki’s food expenses, huh?
Well aren’t you grateful, Niki~? It seems like the staff is taking mighty good care of you so that you wouldn’t starve to death ♪
Niki: For some whatever reason, I feel like that is one rude way of saying that…
Rinne: Can’t deny that it’s true, though. Just how many chili dogs did you eat just now? Our budget has already ran out with your spendings alone, hasn’t it?
Niki: Well…I, I can’t deny that…
Kohaku: Well, it’s a good idea anyways t’ save the money in case somethin’ happens. We might need it in the future.
HiMERU: HiMERU agrees with Oukawa. Since we’re currently in an unfamiliar place, it’s always a good to have some leeway.
Besides, we don’t have time to relax and take a break. We should get to our next task and receive clues to our main goal as soon as possible.
Who should roll next? Shiina and Amagi has already went once, so the next person who should roll next is either HiMERU himself or Oukawa.
Kohaku: I don’t mind goin’ next. I’ll take a swing.
Now, the next mission is…… “Check out the local specialties”?
Hm… that’s a fairly typical request…… Wish we’ve gotten this under different circumstances, though.
HiMERU-han has already told us so much about the old “Number Eight”, so this does seem a bit unusual. Wonder if this is what it’s like fer it t’ be remade in this modern day?

HiMERU: —ah, it’s nothing. HiMERU was just surprised by the amount of simple missions we’ve gotten so far.
He doesn’t want to seem like he’s going paranoid. Compared to “The Labyrinth of the Minotaur”, this is much more tamed than what he expected.
The overwhelmingly wild feeling he felt back at the parachute fall is now gone. Now, it almost seems like a collar has been attached around Crazy:B’s throat.
Don’t you feel the same, Amagi?

He’s been drinking since midday, though. I doubt I’ll be able to talk with him in a state like that.

I’d be in huge trouble if someone gave me alcohol, though. I certainly ain’t gonna recommend drinkin’ t’ minors.

Are you gonna leave everything to us and slack off just because you don’t like to probe people? If that’s the case, then I won’t forgive for it!

Amagi was raised to be a monarch since childhood. It’s not too far off to assume that due to his teachings, he felt some sort of sense of responsibility towards this “Number Eight”.

It’s true that this program, which was supposed t’ be revived with a buncha fanfare, has been pretty much tamed and relaxed. Surely Rinne-han has an idea t’ spruce things up.

It’s true that “Number Eight” feels like an ordinary, or rather, a plain program so far. I feel like that idea is something Rinne-kun can get behind with.
Even so, I still think he’s just using an excuse to slack off! I’m even willing to bet $10 on it!

Niki: Owah— the, the hell!? You’re already out!?
Rinne: Oi, oi, don’t make a face like you’ve been tricked by a tanuki. I’m pale at the thought of me slacking off on this mission~
Or perhaps it’s something else? Perhaps because you’d be so lonely without little ol’ me, you went out of your way to wait until I finished my bathroom break ♪
HiMERU: Not really. HiMERU was more worried that something had happened to Amagi.
Rinne: Kyahaha, glad to know that, but I’m not really thrilled to hear y’all say that you were worried about me. C’mon, back to work, back to it ♪

A tanuki [狸], or a Japanese raccoon dog, is a wild species of canine (dogs) that lives in Japan. It is not actually a raccoon, it just looks really similar to one. The tanuki that Rinne is referring to in the story is its mythological counterpart, known to be tricksters and mischievous.
On a side note, minors, please stay away from alcohol. If you are allowed to drink and can drink, please do so moderately 🙏
